With almost 30 years of experience in the UK and abroad, Winnie brings strong leadership and strategic expertise to her role as Director of Strategy and Operations at First Choice Housing. Beginning her career in education as Head of Humanities, she gained extensive experience in staff development, mentoring, and building partnerships before moving into the voluntary sector. 

At First Choice Housing, Winnie leads the charity’s strategic growth and oversees day-to-day operations. She has introduced a five-year plan to strengthen client support, ensure financial stability, and improve staff and volunteer development. Her responsibilities include managing resources, streamlining processes, and supporting the team to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients. 

Alongside her professional role, Winnie is active in community and church initiatives. She is deeply committed to social justice and to helping people experiencing homelessness access safe, dignified accommodation in Swindon.
