A Transformative Partnership: Lloyds Bank Foundation Funds First Choice Housing

We’re thrilled to announce that First Choice Housing (FCH) has been awarded a multi-year grant from the Lloyds Bank Foundation. This unrestricted funding will support our work from 2025 through 2027, enabling us to stregnthen our services, deepen our impact, and embrace new learning opportunities through the Foundation’s extensive network of charity and private-sector partners.

What the Grant Means for Us

Since receiving the news in May 2025, our team has been in active collaboration with the Lloyds Bank Foundation Regional Manager to: 
  • Define clear organisational development goals 
  • Allocate resources to key FCH programmes 
  • Identify areas for staff training and capacity building 

This grant doesn’t just cover running costs—it’s incredibly important for ongoing strategic growth that will allow us to support even more people facing homelessness in our community. 

Bringing Our Plans to Life

Under the leadership of Co-Directors Winnie Oluoch and Betty Honsou, we’ll be rolling out enhancements across several fronts:
  • Building on our mental health and well-being programmes
  • Upskilling team members in trauma-informed care 
  • Strengthening our data and evaluation systems to measure impact 

 These initiatives will ensure sustainable improvements to client outcomes, while building FCH’s long-term resilience.
